(Schlesinger, 1940) A set of five storyboard panels from the Looney Tunes short “Ali-Baba Bound,” directed by Bob Clampett. The panels depict Porky Pig as a legionnaire, with an informant modeled on actor George Raft, who originated the “gangster flipping a coin” trope. WIth image sizes up to 5.5” x 6” and 4” x 7” on 6.5” x 9.25” paper, the drawings are in good condition with much wear from production use including pinholes, small tears, and smudges.
