(Schlesinger, 1938) An original production drawing of Porky Pig from the infamous short in which he swears. The short, created for a Warner Brothers’ blooper reel, features Porky hitting his hand with a hammer, stammering and saying "son of a gun,” then laughing as he says the viewer probably thought he was going to say "son of a b****.” Animated by the legendary Rod Scribner, the short was not publicly available until it appeared on several DVD releases as a special feature in 2006. With a character image size of 7.5” x 7.75” on 9.5” x 12” paper, the colored pencil and graphite drawing is in very good condition with light spotting, creases, discoloration from age, and typical production notations.
