(Pleasure Island, 1987) A project summary portfolio and collection of 19 concept and model photo prints for Pleasure Island. Inside are the thematic storyline, planned layout, and information on the adult-themed 6-acre area of the Walt Disney World Village, with its themed entertainment spots, The Adventurer's Club, Neon Armadillo, Comedy Warehouse, Videopolis Cafe, Mannequin Dance Theater, and the Zephyr Rockin' Rollerdrome. The portfolio had an opening date of August 1, 1988, but this was not achieved, as Pleasure Island ultimately opened on May 1, 1989. This is a rare look at a time of big, bold change at the Walt Disney World Resort. Ranging in size from the 9.5" x 11.5" portfolio to the 10" x 11.5" binder of photo prints, the Pleasure Island items are in very good condition with light handling wear and highlighter on the layout from production use.
