(Disney, 2007) A distress test of the Mao Kun map prop from “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End,” by James Byrkit. The map passes through many hands at different periods throughout the film, so the prop needed to be intentionally distressed to appear appropriately aged throughout the different scenes. The map eventually ends up with Jack, who uses it again in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” as he searches for the Fountain of Youth. Measuring 31” x 35.75”, the art is in fine condition with intentional distress.
