(MGM/United Artists, 1982) A pair of original background color key paintings from “The Secret of NIMH” directed by Don Bluth. Color keys are preliminary paintings created to establish the color palette, style, and emotion of the final background to be used in the film. Accomplished in gouache, these keys are for the scene when Mrs. Brisby speaks with Jeremy outside of the rosebush. Measuring 6.75” x 8.5” and 10.5” x 12.5”, the paintings are in very good production-used condition with light wear and discoloration to the edges, and pinholes in the top right corner and top center edge of the larger painting.
