(Walt Disney World, 2010-2011) A pair of framed aerial photos showing progress on Pleasure Island’s redevelopment. Pleasure Island, named after the carnival-esque land in “Pinocchio,” opened in 1989 as an entertainment district mainly aimed at adults with bars, clubs, and shopping. In 2008, Disney closed Pleasure Island and announced plans to make the area more family-friendly. These pictures show the progress of the project, which is now known as The Landing at Disney Springs. Measuring 7.75” x 9.75” each in a 16” x 24.75” custom frame, the photos display in fine condition with stains, scratches, and wear on the frame.
