(Arthur Guiterman, 1935-1936) A pair of letters written by Arthur Guiterman. Known for his humorous poems, Guiterman co-founded the Poetry Society of America, and served as its president in 1925 and 1926. This collection includes a brief note of thanks sent from Vermont, and a longer letter written in the Crane hotel in Barbados, which goes into detail about George Washington's visit to the island. Both letters are typed and hand-signed by Guiterman. Measuring 8.5"x11" and 5"x7", the letters are in fine condition with light wear mainly from original mailing.
