(Warner Bros., 1935-36) An original page of sketches and concepts from the early Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes shorts “Flowers for Madame,” “The Fire Alarm” starring Ham and Ex, and “Alpine Antics” starring Beans. Accomplished in graphite and colored pencil with character images measuring 1” x 1” to 5” x 3.5” on a 9.5” x 12” sheet of animation paper, the piece is in very good condition with light edge wear from handling. The name Warner Brothers has been synonymous with animation for nearly a century. This selection showcases a variety of productions created by Warner Brothers Animation over the decades. From the theatrical shorts of the 1930s to feature films, commercials, and Saturday morning series, their iconic cartoon characters have consistently resonated with audiences of all ages.
