(Abrams, 1973) A first edition of The Art of Walt Disney by Christopher Finch, originally owned by Grim Natwick and signed by an impressive array of animators, dating from Walt's Old Men through the animation renaissance of the 1980s. Natwick, who also signed the first page, was the creator of Betty Boop and the lead animator for “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Signatures include those of Natwick, Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, Bill Hanna, John Culhane, George Cannata Jr., Art Babbitt, Steve Bosustow, Kevin Culhane with a drawing, Duane C. Crowther, Brian Culhane, Shawn Culhane, Juana Culhane, Dolores Camata, Bard Wiggenhorn, Willis Pyle, Virginia Pyle, Bud Getzler, and four more, several of which include personalized dedications to Grim. Measuring 10.5" x 13.75" x 2", the 458-page book is in good condition with handling wear, spots of discoloration, a stray ink mark along the bottom edge, and heavy tears and tape repair to the plastic dust jacket, with the paint can loose and most of the back of the jacket missing.
