(Disney, 1963) A “Mary Poppins” acetate featuring two rare tracks, recorded on July 8, 1963. Included are a longer version of “Spit Spot,” the internal name for the “A Spoonful of Sugar” reprise that plays as Mary and the children slide down the staircase banister, and an unused “Chim Chim Cher-ee” march. The march, featuring vocals by Julie Andrews, was originally intended to play as Mary, Bert, and the children march along the rooftops, but was replaced with “A Spoonful of Sugar” march in the final film. Measuring 12” in diameter, the 33 ⅓ RPM record is in very good condition with scratches.
