(Disneyland, 1965) An original concept painting by Disney Legend Mary Blair of the facade for It’s a Small World. After its incredible success at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, Walt Disney wanted to bring It’s a Small World to Disneyland as a permanent installation and chose Blair, who also contributed heavily to the original World's Fair iteration, to design the attraction's exterior. Measuring 11” x 17”, accomplished in gouache on artist’s board, this piece is in very good condition with pinholes at the corners from production use and light edge wear with paint loss, which does not affect the image.
