(Disneyland, 1965) An original concept painting by Disney Legend Mary Blair for Disneyland's It's a Small World, depicting Blair's stylized concept for the attraction's iconic facade. After its incredible success at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, Walt Disney wanted to bring It’s a Small World to Disneyland as a permanent installation and chose Blair, who also contributed heavily to the original World's Fair iteration, to design the attraction's exterior. Measuring 15" x 20", accomplished in gouache on artist’s board, this piece is in fine condition with pin holes in the corners.
