(Disney, 1946) An original concept painting for Walt Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" by Walt Disney Studios color stylist Mary Blair. A decade after beginning her employment with the Studio, Mary Blair's cutting-edge arrangements of color palette distinguished her work. This led to memorable contributions toward the production of "Cinderella," "Alice in Wonderland," "Peter Pan," and multiple short films. This key scene concept depicts Alice at the mad tea party and has been accomplished in gouache on artist's board. The piece has a painted image size of 9" x 8" on its 10" x 9" artist's board. It is in very good condition, exhibiting minor surface wear and pinholes in the corners.
