(Disney, 1977) An extensive collection of Disney Studio music scores from the animated feature The Rescuers. The (13) oversized 12"x15" files hold hundreds of pages of original score sheets for the songs from the film. Included are many deleted songs: Never had It So Good, Peoplitis, The Need to Be Loved, Just Might Be Tomorrow, and Doin' What I Really Do Best. Each folder typically contains a handwritten copy of the music and lyrics on vellum, and several printed copies, many with pencil annotations from production use indicating a change to instrument or lyric that may have existed for a single take. The file for Tomorrow is Another Day, the song played as Bernard and Bianca fly south to the bayou, includes extensive copies of score for the different instruments used in the orchestration. Also included is a rarely seen orchestra call sheet for that song's recording session, listing every musician who performed. All in all, hundreds of pages are included, giving a unique look into the Rescuers and Disney Studio recordings overall. The scores measuring 9.5"x13" each are in very good production used condition, inside the 12.5"x15" Studio manila file folders.
