(EPCOT Center, 1983) An original rocket prop from the Future World attraction Horizons. This prop was from the first part of the attraction, titled"Looking Back at Tomorrow," attached to a Moon face in a re-creation of the famous scene from George Méliès' film"A Trip to the Moon." Horizons was a key part of Phase II of EPCOT, with the optimistic futurist attraction maintaining a strong following, even after its permanent closure in 1999 to make way for Mission: Space. Measuring 18" tall and 11" in diameter, the mixed-media prop displays in very good condition with spotting from age, cracks, stains, and wear from Park use.
