(Disneyland, 1958) An original silk-screened lamppost sign heralding the opening of the scenic route through the Grand Canyon Diorama via the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad. Signs of this style were attached to lampposts, station facades, and the rolling stock of the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad during the first few months of the attraction's opening. Further, the silkscreened card stock sign was designed by Walt Disney Studios artists and manufactured by notable Disneyland flag and banner manufacturer Hortie Van. Measuring 18"x16", the sign is in very good condition, exhibiting some toning from age, and wear to the corners and edges.
