(Chambers/Warner Bros., 1966-2012) A rare open-eyed face cast of actress Gena Rowlands from “Peyton Place” that was used as a background prop in “Argo.” Ted Post directed 179 episodes of “Peyton Place” as well as “Beneath the Planet of the Apes,” which may provide the connection between Rowlands and John Chambers. This piece was seen hanging behind John Goodman, portraying Chambers, in his trailer filled with makeup and mask props. This plaster cast itself predates the 2012 film and may date as early as the mold’s original creation in 1966-70s. Measuring 15.5” x 11” x 5.25” deep, the plaster cast is in very good condition with light wear from handling and age.
