(Freedomland, 1960) A very rare personalized Opera House souvenir poster from Freedomland, an American history theme park in the Bronx from 1960 to 1964. The park was the brainchild of C.V. Wood, who had worked on the construction and management of Disneyland during its earliest years. In the Old Southwest section, the Santa Fe Opera House and Saloon was a soft drink bar with a 30-minute entertainment revue of showgirls, singers, and comedians. This souvenir poster is personalized with the name Susan Patricia Zetscha as the headliner. Measuring 12” x 16”, the poster displays in very good condition, with light wear from age including very faint spotting, a pinhole and a 0.5” tear, and discoloration along the bottom edge.
