(Fleischer Studios, 1920s-1930s) An original piece of artwork from a Fleischer Studios sing-a-long Song Car-Tune. Before theatrical presentations in the 1920s, a short Fleischer Studios animation would play featuring the words to a popular song. Audiences were encouraged to sing along by following the ball on screen bouncing from word to word, and so the “follow the bouncing ball” concept was born, an idea that has remained a standard for karaoke and children’s videos. This artwork features an old man (possibly Father Time) playing a clock drum. Measuring 8” x 10”, the artwork is in fine condition.
