(Disneyland, 1955) A rare first issue of The Disneyland News from the Park's opening in July of 1955. This periodical was published within Disneyland and helmed by its newly appointed Editor-in-Chief, Marty Sklar. This premiere issue largely covers the planning and construction of Disneyland and features advertisements from vendors who helped make the Park's opening possible. These incredible early newspapers not only served to offer Disneyland's Guests the latest information on the Park and its features but also heavily supported the theme of Main Street being a functioning small town. Measuring 11.5” x 16" the 24-page newspaper is in fair condition with yellowing from age, paper separation at the crossfolds, creases from folds, and wear and tear to the edges from handling.
