(Warner Brothers, 2001-03) A collection of rare Lord of the Rings film trilogy ephemera from around the world. Included from "The Fellowship of the Rings” are two admission tickets from Japan, a laminated security badge for the world premiere, a colorful 13-page press kit on the visual effects of the film, an invitation letter and order form for the Charity First Night performance of the film in London, two copies of an advance ticket sales button, two more buttons, and an invitation to the Warner Studio lot in Burbank for the film’s DVD release. From "The Two Towers” are a digital press kit on two CDs, a Japanese ticket stub, a postcard of the poster, an advance ticket sales button, and an invitation to a breakfast screening in Los Angeles for the DVD release. From "The Return of the King” are a ticket to the Prince’s Trust screening in London, a press CD with photography from the film, a New Zealand postcard with a Gandalf stamp, and a velveteen bag. Also included is an Opening Night party invitation for The Lord of the Rings stage production in London in 2007, and an info sheet from the New Zealand travel company providing tours of the filming locations. Measuring from the 3” x 2” Japanese tickets to the 12” x 9” visual effects press packet, the items are in good to very good condition with typical handling wear. All in all, this is a wide and varied collection that would be nearly impossible to duplicate.
