(Disneyland, 1955) A collection of 42 very rare early photos of Frontierland. Dated from June to October of 1955, these include pre-opening construction, and several of the Opening Day telecast including Walt Disney with a Mickey doll aboard the E. P. Ripley, Fess Parker, and Buddy Ebsen. Later images show servicemen dining at Casa de Fritos, and many other rare views of the Mark Twain, Indian Village, Pack Mules, and more. These 4" x 5" contact prints were made directly from Disneyland Publicity's original camera negatives. As many of Publicity’s negatives were later culled, some of these prints may be the best if not only surviving copies of these images. The 4" x 5" glossy contact prints are in very good condition, with light wear from handling.
