(Charlotte Clark, 1940s) A rare Jiminy Cricket Doll by Charlotte Clark. The 15" tall doll came from Clark's personal collection and was gifted to relatives in the 1940s. Jiminy is covered in several different types of fabric including a large green felt hat with yellow hat band. The eyes are separate large pieces upon which are mounted white felt cut-outs, each accented by black oilcloth. There are various stitching accents on the face as well as the back of each hand. There are 4 small holes on the back of his pants plus 4 or 5 on the front although most of these are hidden by his turquoise shirt. The holes range from 1/8” to .25”. There are additional holes on his face including .25” by his nose, .25” by his left cheek, a pair that are .25” below the mouth and 5 that are smaller and scattered. His black jacket has just 3 tiny holes, mostly on the reverse. Attached to his ankle is a “Charlotte Clark Creation” tag with text “Made Especially For Walt Disney ©W.D. Productions.” Overall, the doll presents in good condition, and is one of only two we have ever seen.
