(Chambers/Warner Bros., 2012) A pair of casts of John Chambers’ hands that were used as background props on the set of "Argo." John Chambers revolutionized movie makeup, and many of the developments he came up with in the 1950s and 1960s are still in use today. John Goodman portrayed Chambers in “Argo,” and several actual artifacts from Chambers’ makeup career appeared as props in the film. Chambers took these casts of his hands in 1955, and labeled the base with his name and the year. This pair was likely cast from the original mold especially for the 2012 film. Each measuring 3.5” x 4.25” x 7.75” high, the plaster hands are in fine condition.
