(Disneyland, 1990s) An incredible one-of-a-kind replica of the show building for Disneyland's Carousel of Progress attraction as it appeared in the New Tomorrowland of 1967. Walt built the attraction for General Electric at the 1964-65 World’s Fair, then showcased it at Disneyland from 1963 until it moved to Walt Disney World in 1973. Since then the uniquely rotating building housed America Sings, Innoventions, and the Star Wars Launch Bay. At the far left is the entrance to the Tomorrowland Skyway, which was open from 1956 until 1994. The scale model is faithful to the original designs and made predominantly of foam core with faux foliage, 48 plastic human figures, and 4 plastic umbrella tables. While this is not an Imagineering original model, it was obtained from the family of an Imagineer, and truly shows a superb level of accuracy and attention to detail. With the building measuring 30” x 48” x 17” high on a 34” x 48” wooden base, this detailed replica of the historic Disneyland attraction is in very good condition with four human figures loose and expected light wear to materials from handling and age.
