(Los Angeles Examiner, 1932-1938) The Comic pages of the Los Angeles Examiner were an important part of young Bob Clampett's artistic upbringing. Clampett kept these 38 assorted sheets of two double-sided cartoon pages – all published between 1932 and 1938 – in his personal collection. The total 152 pages include classic strips such as Thimble Theater with Popeye, Felix the Cat, and Rube Goldberg, among others. Each page measures 23” x 15” and the collection is in fair to good condition with typical wear and discoloration from age, and some pages with small tears.
