(Disneyland, 1987) An original concept drawing of Bisontennial Ben, a character created for Disneyland's celebration of the bicentennial of the United States Constitution. The character was conceived as Bisontennial Bill, with "Ben" written in marker over the original letters. While the character's public appearances were scarce, he did appear on a float at the 1988 Rose Parade with American heroes Muhammad Ali and Buzz Aldrin. Accomplished in ink and watercolor, the art bears a Walt Disney Company concept stamp at the lower right corner. Ben has an image size of 4.25" x 5.5" on 8.5" x 11" drawing paper, adhered to a 9" x 11.75" board. The art is in very good condition with spots of discoloration, creases, and wear.
