(Disneyland, 1954) An extremely rare September 3, 1954 prospectus packet for Disneyland, providing an incredible glimpse into Walt Disney's vision for his Park almost a year before it opened. Titled "The Disneyland Story," this 4 page document educated potential investors with an overview of the lands and attractions planned for Disneyland. Including are some that were never realized such as a Monstro Water Ride and an Alice in Wonderland walk-through. It comes with a "Disneyland" marked spiral binder that contains 23 photos of models, maps, and concept art of Disneyland development. The packet closes with projections of attendance and revenue for the Park.
The 8.5” x 11” document and 8"x 10" photos are in good to fine condition with some underlining in pencil throughout the text, light stains to the bottom edge of the first page, and light edge wear and discoloration from age. The 10.5” x 11.5” binder is in fair condition with the top half of the cover detached from the spiral binding and the back cover completely detached but included. Also included is an 8” x 10” digital print of Main Street concept art that was not part of the original presentation.
