(Arnex, 1975) A vintage Swiss-made Arnex railroad pocket watch gifted to Robert H. Hanna on the occasion of his retirement from his long career with the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad. In his time with the park, Hanna served as the SF& DRR Retlaw Foreman and was a contributor to the Backstage Disneyland cast magazine. The watch is housed in a double-doored gold-tone metal case with a charging steam train engraved on the front and an ornate design with the recipient's initials, "RHH," engraved on the reverse. The front door is engraved on the reverse, "Robert H. Hanna September 28, 1975 SF& DRR 1959-1975," and opens to reveal the watch face, marked "17 Jewels INCABLOC Swiss Made," which features the Arnex text and train graphic logo and a separate seconds-counter dial. The rear door of the watch opens to reveal the back of the watch housing, which is engraved "Remontoir Ancre de Precision." Measuring approximately 2" in diameter and 0.3" thick, the watch is in very good condition with only minor wear to the case. The watch ticks when wound and all hands function, but no long-term test has been made as to the accuracy of the timekeeping. The rear door will not snap shut.
